Sometimes it is the silliest of news that makes your day. Just imagine discovering in the same day that there is this brand called JapanLA and that there is such a thing as a Hello Kitty Con in Los Angeles. As a die hard Hello Kitty fan, I couldn't be more excited. True, I will not be going since right now I don't have the time to go the distance out to LA. However, I hope the JapanLA store will be waiting for me next year when I will be honeymooning in the West Coast.
A veces la noticia más tonta te alegra el día. Imaginaros descubrir en el mismo día que hay una tienda llamada JapanLA y que existe algo como un Hello Kitty Con en Los Angeles. Como superfan de Hello Kitty, no podría estar más emocionada. Ya, ya sé que Los Angeles me queda un poco lejos pero espero que JapanLA aún esté abierta el año que viene cuando yo ande de luna de miel por la Costa Oeste.
More exciting news, JapanLA is launching a capsule collection of 8 pieces where it has merged two of the most world-famous and world-favorite, why not, cartoons ever: The Simpsons, that yellow family I watch every single night on TV, and Hello Kitty the famous cat (oh, wait, it is not a cat!) with a red ribbon. Truth is that it is more like the Simpsons being Kittty-fied, to die for anyway. The collection will be presented at the aforementioned Hello Kitty Con on October 30th. My favorites: the red jacket and the all-characters dress.
La gran noticia es que JapanLA va a lanzar una colección capsula de 8 piezas en las que a unido a dos de los dibujos animados más famosos y queridos de, por que no, toda la historia: Los Simpson, esta familia amarilla que veo cada noche de mi vida en la tele, y Hello Kitty, la famosa gatita (ah, espera que no es una gata) con el lacito rojo. La verdad es que es más una version Kitty-ficada de los Simpson pero aún y así, para morirse de monosidad. La colección se presentará en el mencionado Hello Kitty Con el 30 de octubre. Mis favoritos son la chaqueta roja y el vestido con todos los personajes.
Jamie Rivadeneira, JapanLA's founder, is not a newby at creating Hello Kitty-inspired collections. The store has already had 12 different small collections before, always inspired by Japanese street-style and how girls like to wear their clothes there. The collections will be available at 12 retailers including JapanLA's website. Will it sell out in no time?
