FASHION LIFE: London Day 2 - Orla Kiely SS15

For the next summer season, Orla Kiely has joined the handful of designers who have looked back to the 70s and the 60s hangover. Always one of my favorite shows, Orla Kiely has gone back to her basics and updated floral and geometric naif patterns that have become her signature style. Simple and feminine dresses, high waisted shorts and skirts, colors pastels and t-bar shoes permeated the scene. The chance of dressing like Marcia Brady is available to all of us now and it is too tempting to resist! Fizzy elderflower tea and flower-icing cupcakes were served at a presentation styled by Leith Clark and Susie Bubble approved. What else can we ask for? Well, I only ask to be invited next time!

Designer: Orla Kiely

Inspiration: Flower power, the 60s, the 70s, Swining London

Trends: Pastel colors, high-waists, midi skirts, artsy patterns

Key colors: Pink, light blue, yellow

Who will wear it? The legion of Orla Kiely fans, Mod girls, lovers of the 60s, and hippies at heart... Oh, and probably some member of the British Royal Family.
